Who are we?
Our e-Aircraft™ solutions include the technology, applications and services we create in partnership with airlines, OEMs and airframers, to address the challenges and value-generating opportunities of the air travel industry.
Through personal electronic devices, everyone and everything is becoming increasingly connected. Regardless of fleet size, route structure or aircraft type, our ‘Nose-to-Tail’ connectivity can help airlines in growing ancillary revenues, improving customer experience, improving airline and passenger safety, and improving operational efficiency.
What is our history?
SITAONAIR was born to drive new thinking and address challenges airlines face in ground and inflight connectivity, cockpit data services and air traffic management solutions, aircraft communications and infrastructure solutions, as well as application development for both passengers and crew.
We are a fully owned subsidiary of SITA. Originally incorporated as a joint venture with Airbus in February 2005, Airbus sold its 33% final stake to SITA in February 2013. In January 2015, SITA and OnAir formed SITAONAIR as part of the SITA Group to help airlines realise the full potential of the connected aircraft. This combined SITA’s proven knowledge of airline communications and IT, and OnAir’s expertise in supplying in-flight connectivity.
As the world’s leading specialist in air transport communications and information technology, SITA provides the broadest portfolio for the air transport industry.
Who is in our Leadership Team?
Our Leadership Team brings together an unparalleled level of experience that drives us in pioneering e-Aircraft™ solutions. Top people in their fields, they are committed to tailoring aircraft connectivity to generate value for airlines.
